The important of insurance

Till today, insurance is still hardly regarded as important part of modern life. Most people will not consider it when have money and it will be first item to be taken off from the monthly payment list. Insurance has been treated as low priority item even below Astro.

In reality, insurance is like armor and we shall not go without it in the battle field. Yes, you heard it all the time, "I don't have enough money to pay for the premium ". Is that true? Except the hard core poor, every family is afford for the premium. If you can spent 300 per month on cigarette, why you can afford for 50 a month insurance premium? One will kill you and the later will provide protection for your family.

Most of us is having incorrect money concept. We have been influence by the commercialization too deeply and taking spending over saving. In the end, the big businesses will become richer and majority of us will go deeper in debt. And you are wonder why the poor got poorer.

Will the Banks backstab us in the economy tough time?

You bet, banks and any financial institutions will always stabbed you in the back when you needed help the most. We, the consumers, always presumed that the bankers are on our side but the opposite is true. The bankers are always do the best to earn our money, from RM0.50 ATM withdrawal charges to withdrawing your loan facilities and auction off your properties, etc, it is always about earning.

So, what will the bankers do on the tough time? Go figure out yourself but you can imaging that you monthly installment payments will raised and you may have to sell off your car to cut down on overall installment payments. Also, you may have to declared bankruptcy because unable to meet the credit card 5% minimum payment.

But the DPM just announced that he have told the bank not to withdraw those facilities. Yeah right, they will not withdraw those facilities for the businesses that connected to the government, potential good earning and good fundamental companies. The small unless pricks like you and me are the first one to be cut.

The question is what can you do? I can give you 2 standard answer:

1. Cut down expense
2. Increase Income

Sound like bull sh*t but this is a time to be creative in creating new source of income and also cut back the unnecessary expense.

Soon, I will release list great saving tips and new business ideas.

I stopped. NO, I started back again ......

My progress on the stop smoking has not be satisfactory so far. Yes, I have been able to stop smoking for 1 to 2 weeks and my physical addiction toward cigarette is actually gone by then.

However, the habitual addiction is way harder to overcome, I have consistently started back to a stick on cigarette over a hang out session with friends. Will I ever be successful on the battle with nicotine?

Petronas, one of the top eight Fortune 500

Petronas is one of the top Fortune 500 companies this year in term of earning, thank to the soaring fuel price. My guess is more and more Malaysia company will be reporting good earning results and with no doubt that our economy is growing.

However, by reducing the oil subsidy; now malaysia who earn 1500 has to pay 500 for petrol monthly and 500 to service car loan.

It is very clear that the divide of rich and poor is getting wider. Whatever the govt doing is actually helping this to happened.

You better be one of the rich in the next few years. Else you and your spouse will have work 18 hours a day, 2 jobs just to meet the end.

For Party or For The People

The recent scene of Malaysia politics has become very interesting. Almost everyday, the will be some shocking news come out. E.g. Tun Dr. Mahatir quit UMNO, rumours has it that UNMO has split into Team A and Team B, etc.

But anyway, for people like us. We are more concern on how the people representatives are working for us. We don't care which party they are belong but what they have done for us and what they going to do.

The issues of food crisis, rising energy costs, inflation, economy downturn are way more pressing to us that anything. However, i am not sure that the federal ruling party has understand this.

Quit Smoking is hard, very hard

I have been trying to stop smoking since February 7th 2008. Then I have successfully not taking a puff till about 2 weeks ago. Now, I either taking about a stick or 2 a day. I feel bad and I should be able to resist this. However, the bad influence from the devil Tu Ying Kwang, my colleague sit at the room beside me, is just too much.

On the positive note, I still thinking that I am ex-smoker, and I believe that I will keep on to be a ex-smoker from now on. God, please give me strength on this.
