Stay at Tanjung Inn, Cherating over Chinese New Year Holiday

At 5th day of Chinese New Year holidays, I have decided to go up the Cherating, Terengganu for a quick short break away from the city. As expected the well known hotels like Impiana Resort, Holiday Inn and Legend Resort are all fully booked. Anyway, I am decided go to the Kg. Cherating to try my luck, as you know, there are full of smaller hotel and chalets along the road of Kg. Cherating.

Since I have turn into the Kg Cherating, the first accommodation I saw was The Moon, it is built on the jungle, back-to-nature kind of theme. It look interesting, but I am not in the mood for adventure; therefore, I did not even ask there are any vacancy. Along the road road I found Residence Inn on my left and the Cherating Beach on my right. However, I did not stop to enquiry either.

Later, I have manage to see the shore line at my right, it is about 50m away from the road. Then I found a place called Ranting Inn which some nice chalet along the beach. Try my luck, but it is fully booked. It seem that it had been reserved by group of tourists from oversea.

Anyway, further down the road, after passed by some restaurants I saw a signboard of Tanjung Inn. I went in to enquiry and with luck, they still have one more chalet available with the price of RM55 per night. Later, I found out that it sued to be RM50 and the price has raised since lat year. But anyway, Tanjung Inn price is constant all year round, even in the peak season. So, it actually is a very decent place to stay.

The beach is about 50m away from the chalet and the man made lake is beautiful and clean. When you reach the beach , there are chinese seafood restaurant on your right and a beach bar at your left. Overall, it is a nice and quiet place for those love to get away from the stressful city life.

The important of insurance

Till today, insurance is still hardly regarded as important part of modern life. Most people will not consider it when have money and it will be first item to be taken off from the monthly payment list. Insurance has been treated as low priority item even below Astro.

In reality, insurance is like armor and we shall not go without it in the battle field. Yes, you heard it all the time, "I don't have enough money to pay for the premium ". Is that true? Except the hard core poor, every family is afford for the premium. If you can spent 300 per month on cigarette, why you can afford for 50 a month insurance premium? One will kill you and the later will provide protection for your family.

Most of us is having incorrect money concept. We have been influence by the commercialization too deeply and taking spending over saving. In the end, the big businesses will become richer and majority of us will go deeper in debt. And you are wonder why the poor got poorer.

Will the Banks backstab us in the economy tough time?

You bet, banks and any financial institutions will always stabbed you in the back when you needed help the most. We, the consumers, always presumed that the bankers are on our side but the opposite is true. The bankers are always do the best to earn our money, from RM0.50 ATM withdrawal charges to withdrawing your loan facilities and auction off your properties, etc, it is always about earning.

So, what will the bankers do on the tough time? Go figure out yourself but you can imaging that you monthly installment payments will raised and you may have to sell off your car to cut down on overall installment payments. Also, you may have to declared bankruptcy because unable to meet the credit card 5% minimum payment.

But the DPM just announced that he have told the bank not to withdraw those facilities. Yeah right, they will not withdraw those facilities for the businesses that connected to the government, potential good earning and good fundamental companies. The small unless pricks like you and me are the first one to be cut.

The question is what can you do? I can give you 2 standard answer:

1. Cut down expense
2. Increase Income

Sound like bull sh*t but this is a time to be creative in creating new source of income and also cut back the unnecessary expense.

Soon, I will release list great saving tips and new business ideas.
